Ready, set, go! – to the Monongahfest

Town Recorder Patty Steele McCombs writes:
“The tent is up. The food vendors and crafters will be rolling in. The MONONGAHFEST is ready to ROCK this town.
“The parking lot is slowly filling up. Come out and enjoy the great entertainment we have lined up this year. We will start out with our local and talented Maddie Nickerson at 3:00p. Thistle & Tweed will be performing @ 4p they are a Folk Duo (Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood). I can’t wait to hear them! 6:00p Pannikin ~ Steel Drum Band will take us away on an island cruise and we won’t even have to leave Monongah ~ from CB Studios. Ending the night with “Jenna Won’t Sing” Band starting @ 8p. Rocking us with their Oldies Music. 10p FIREWORKS!”

Ms. West Virginia United States Kristin Wilson of Mannington will lead the Monongahfest parade. She also will crown Little Miss Monongahfest.

The Town-Wide Yard Sale will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 in the parking lot under the big tent. 

The 3rd annual Monongahfest Car Show will be Sunday, Aug. 17.
