Monongah yard sale HUGE!

Town Recorder Patty Steele McCombs writes that “the Monongah Town Wide Yard Sale Friday is going to be HUGE this year. I think the parking lot will be full. It's from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the town parking lot under the big tent!

“Bring your own tables and pay that morning.”

The Aug. 15 yard sale kicks off another Monongahfest weekend. Monongahfest is Saturday, Aug. 16, and the 3^rd annual Car Show is Sunday, Aug. 17.

Monongahfest schedule Saturday:

7 -10 a.m. Country Breakfast in the Town Hall

10 a.m. Pinball tournament
Noon Parade with Miss West Virginia United States Kristin Wilson as parade marshal
1 p.m. Invocation by Pastor Keith Lewis, National Anthem by Maddie Nickerson, Little Miss Monongahfest, Baby Photo contests
2 p.m. Kids Hour, Magic Show & Mr. Twister
3 p.m. Corn Hole Tournament on Basketball Court

3 p.m. Tug of War Contest at the Point by River

4 p.m. Thistle & Tweed (Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood) folk duo
6 p.m. Duck Race on the river (watch from the bridge)

8 p.m. Jenna Won’t Sing band

10 p.m. Fireworks
