Rose Mary Wilkins
1980 North Marion grad (after 3 years at Monongah High) Adam Michna, son of 1938 Fairmont St. Peter High School grad Adam Michna and 1948 Mannington High grad Katherine Dering Michna, remembers Rose:

“Lots of folks don't know or remember her. I remember her as working at the Monongah Post Office at the corner of Bridge and Main Street. I even remember the smell of that building, and am sure you do, too. She was old when I was a kid. I have done the math. I guess some of the little rug-rats in Monongah think I'm at least 2,000 years old.”

More like 50something, Adam.

If you have memories of Rose or the Wilkins family, or the Biafore and Spatafore families that produced Rose, email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com and I’ll add them to this Monongah High Alumni blog article on Rose.
