Christine Sokolosky of Idamay had a visitor from Colorado, Linda DiLaura Cassesse, daughter of Agnes Jean Larry DiLaura, Class of 1950, who lives with Linda in Nevada, Colorado, a Las Vegas suburb.

Explains Linda:

“Our lil reunion was in Idamay. Mom Jean was back in Nevada enjoying her sister, Connie, & niece, Tina's company while I was away.”

As Jean’s daughter, Linda Cassesse, writes:
“Christine and Mom have been friends since childhood and still keep in touch to this day. Her daughter and I still keep in touch on Facebook, as well as her granddaughter.”

Linda described it as “a wonderful visit with friends from Idamay, West Virginia.”

Others showing up were Michell Sokolosky Butler, who grew up in Idamay and went to Farmington High. She lives in Fairmont.

And Christina Butler Drainer, probably Michell’s daughter.

Agnes Jean grew up in Carolina and went to Monongah High.

Idamay must have been Farmington territory because Michael Sokolosky, who grew up in Idamay, went to Farmington before Fairmont State and WVU. He lives in Charleston.

And Michell Sokolosky Butler also grew up in Idamay and went to Farmington.

Nancy Watson Sokolosky, who grew up in Four States and lives in Rachel, went to Monongah High.

Katie Sokolosky lives in Washington, D.C.

Joe Sokolosky is from Rachel.

If you have memories of the Sokolosky or Larry families, email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com and I’ll add them to this Monongah High Alumni blog.
