Monongah in 1930 and the mother of Barbara “Penny” Locke Pratt of Monongah,
passed away Wednesday, December 2 in Fairmont.

Virginia Gay Vuckson Locke
(December 22, 1930 - December 2, 2015) 
Virginia Gay Locke, 84, of Rivesville, WV
passed away Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the Fairmont Regional Medical
Center. She was born December 22, 1930 in Monongah, WV, daughter of the late
Paul and Mary Vuckson.
Virginia was Baptist by faith. The most important
part of her life was spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and
baking, making crafts and singing.
She is survived by six children, Dorothy
Haught and husband Robert of Katy, Barbara “Penny“ Pratt of Monongah,
Margaret Schumann and husband Thomas of FL, Patricia Locke of Rivesville,
Darrell Locke and wife Ann of Morgantown, David Locke and wife Mary of KY;
seven grandchildren, Jennifer Pratt, Heather Haught, Johnathan Haught,
Melinda Roupe, Tommy Roupe, Richard Locke, and Amanda Grady; multiple great
and great-great grandchildren; two siblings, Johnny Ryan of FL, and Patty
Enoch of OH.
In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bud” Locke; a daughter, Betty
Bartholow; and a grandson, Ronald “Ronnie” Pratt; three siblings, Mickey
Kincaid, Letha Dorsey, and Jean Fowler.
The
family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in
Fairmont from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday. The Funeral
Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday December 6, in the funeral home
with Mark Double officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial
