Barbara Ann Tennant, daughter of
Lucille Loss Blocker and mother of Robert and Michael Joy and Jennifer Tennant,
passed away Saturday, December 26.
Barbara Ann Tennant |
Barbara’s siblings are Alan Tennant, Class of 1966; Scott
Blocker, Class of 1968; and Victoria Blocker Nottingham, Class of 1969. Lucille’s
sister, Rosemary Loss Hartman, lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
Lucille Loss Blocker’s widower is Richard Blocker. Lucille’s
parents were John “J.B.” Loss and Josephine Dieling Loss. Lucille’s brother,
Arnold “J.B.” Loss, Class of 1947, also is deceased.
I think these Joys are from another
branch of the family: Bob Joy, Class of 1956, was a guard on the 1955 Monongah
High football team that won the state championship and married into the Tennant
family; Joe Joy, Class of 1957; John Joy, Class of 1960, deceased; and Bill
Joy, Class of 1964, deceased.
If you know how these Joys are
related to each other, email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com
and I’ll add the information to this article.
