Wilma McNece Dwyer passes away
Wilma McNece Dwyer, Class of 1955, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8 in
Fairmont.
Betty McNece Poster, her sister, also is a Monongah High
graduate.
Their parents were Joseph and Mildred Shepard
McNece.

Wilma Dwyer, 78, of Fairmont, passed away
Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her friends and family.
She was born August 18, 1936 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Joseph
and Mildred Shepard McNece.
Wilma was a member of the Monongah Baptist
Church and was a 1955 graduate of Monongah High School. She was formerly
employed at Westinghouse in Fairmont.
In her free time, she enjoyed baking and
spending time with her family. She loved all children and especially loved her
grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Rick and his wife Lois of
Chambersburg, PA, Joe Scott of Worthington, and Joy Damico of Worthington;
grandchildren, Stacey Meyer and her husband Steve of Ashburn, VA, Tracey Desai
and her husband Nikhil of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Elizabeth Damico of Worthington,
Louis Damico of Shinnston, and Johanna Scott of Fairmont; great grandchildren,
Amaru Desai, Autumn Damico, Amelia Desai, Anna Ni, and Trent Meyer; sister,
Betty Poster of Scott Depot, WV; and aunt, Wilma June Slovekosky.
Wilma McNece Dwyer had a
special relationship with longtime friends Lucille Wells and JoAnn Lehman who
recently helped with her care. She is also survived by a friend, Rachel Hilbert
and her wonderful neighbors, Glenn and Loretta Phillips, Eric and Heather
Dyson, and Jerry and Nancy Martin.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded
in death by her husband, Walter Dwyer, who passed away in 2007; and two
sisters, Juanita Aycock and Lessie Kelly.
The family would like to give a
special thank you Dr. Eugene Menez, who was her longtime doctor and friend and
to Courtnie and Stormy from Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care they
provided.
Memorial donations may be made in Wilma's memory to Amedisys Hospice,
67 Casino Dr., Suite 102, Anmore, WV 26323.
In keeping with her wishes,
cremation services will be provided by Ford Funeral Home. Friends and family
will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street,
Fairmont, on Wednesday, February 11th from 12 Noon until the time of the
memorial service at 2:00 PM with Pastor David S. Huckins officiating. Private
