2nd arrest coming in WVU frat hazing death?
Morgantown Police are seeking Jordon Hankins in connection to
the November fraternity hazing death of Nolan Burch.
The police report states that Hankins orchestrated
"blindfolding, escorting and presenting pledges, including Burch, to their
'big brothers.' "
Previously, Richard Schwartz, 20, was arrested and charged with
one count of hazing and one count of conspiracy to commit hazing, according to
court documents.
Schwartz was Burch's "Big Brother" in the Big/Little
Initiation ceremony for Kappa Sigma in November. That ceremony, and the
drinking activities that transpired during it, is believed to be what caused
Burch's death in November.
Schwartz is also from the same hometown as Burch.
According to court paperwork, Schwartz is accused of providing a
bottle of liquor for Burch and also helping carry him back to the fraternity
house after he was found unresponsive.
Schwartz was freed on $10,000 bond.
WVU suspended fraternity and sorority
activities after the incident. They have since been restored on a limited
basis.
