Monongah pop tabs help pay charity tab

Students at Monongah Elementary School for months have saved shiny, aluminum pop tabs to fill a 55-gallon drum which will be donated to the Morgantown Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House provides “a home away from home” for families with critically ill children.

The 55-gallon drum of pop tabs will help cover operating expenses.

The Ronald McDonald House only recycles the pop tabs of a can because they are the most dense and purest form of aluminum within the can.
