Sanda Hearn Wimer passes away
Sandra Hearn Wimer, Class of 1961,
passed away Feb. 8. She lived in Fairmont.

SANDRA J. WIMER
Sandra J. Wimer, 71,
of Fairmont, passed from this life Sunday, (February 8, 2015) at Ruby Memorial
Hospital, after a brief but very valiant battle with cancer. She was born in
Shinnston on March 17, 1943 a daughter of the late Clarence Monroe and Virginia
Lee Anderson Hearn.
She retired from the Lamp Plant Division of North American Phillips with 45 years of service, when the company moved out of Fairmont. She was a member of the Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Monongah High School.
A very loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother, Sandra put her family above all others. She was a special person that would do anything for anyone. Some of the things she enjoyed were word puzzles, burning candles, collecting angels, reading, watching her favorite t.v. shows, taking road trips to visit family, daily shopping at her favorite stores, going to concerts, music and dancing and cooking when she wasn't going out to eat, which she truly enjoyed. She loved decorating for all of the holidays as well as flower gardening, going to the park to feed the ducks and taking scenic drives.
Mrs. Wimer is survived by her loving husband of 51 years David L. Wimer; three daughters Sandra Michele Wimer of Charlotte, NC and her fiancée Lenny Marra and his children Courtney and Tyler of Columbia, SC, Kimberly Jo Wimer Rundle and her husband D.J. of Fairmont and Cathy Lynn Wimer of Fairmont; three brothers James W. Hearn and wife Beverly of Logan, UT, Clarence M. Hearn, Jr. and wife Linda of Lexington, SC and Robert L. Hearn and wife Phyllis of Mannington; one sister Sharon K. Dennison of Fairmont; three grandchildren Matthew David Barrick, Gabrielle Paige Rundle and Avery Rose Rundle; also several nieces and nephews and her dearest friend Vivian Fisher.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law James Dennison.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no funeral home viewing, her body will be cremated and friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont Saturday from 11 am till 1 pm. A time of sharing and music to celebrate her life will begin at 1:00 pm.
