Brrr! Ice cream, anyone?
Unless it is buried under snow and ice,
Monongah’s Dairy Kone on Pike Street at Camden (U.S. 19) will open for the
season at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5.
This will be the 10th year
for the current owners.
If the weather doesn’t improve they can
just keep the ice cream outside. It won’t melt.
The opening day high is predicted to be 34 degrees
and the low 18 degrees.
Oh, well, there’s always the pizza, hot
dogs and sandwiches.

Criswell Furr and husband Doug plan a spring open house at her Monongah Art and Antiques next to the Dairy Kone. They went south to warm up over the winter.
