Say it ain’t so, Joe!
Joe Martin, Class of 1959, who lives on Treasure Island, Florida, with wife Arlene Kitchin, is “selling my beautiful classic Mercedes convertible. If you or anyone you know has an interest,  please contact me.”

Joe is awaiting the results of his latest PET scan and has chemo treatments scheduled through December at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. The first chemo was in July.

Professional photographer Joe had strokes in March and lung surgery in June at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Nova Scotia native Arlene Kitchen is an artist.

Joe and Arlene show up at the Monongah High Alumni Reunion/Sarasota at the home of Bill Meredith, Class of 1957, and wife Roleta, a Clarksburg Washington Irving High grad.

The third annual MHS Alumni Reunion at the Meredith home in Sarasota will be
noon Friday, Feb. 6, 2015. There were reunions in 2012 and 2013, but none in 2014 while Bill recovered from his surgery.

If you will be near Sarasota on Feb. 6, phone John Olesky at (330) 388-4466 or Bill Meredith at (941) 342-0030 so that Roleta will know how many people to whip out the food fixin’s for. We usually get 10 to 12 sitting around for hours talking about Monongah High, West Virginia and grandchildren. And laughing a lot.

Previous Sarasota/Monongah High reunions were attended by Barb Enoch Arnett, Class of 1960; Bob Arnett, Class of 1957; Lyla Cosner Howell, Class of 1958; Lloyd Schell, Class of 1957; Pat Slovekosky Morris, Class of 1970; Arlene and Joe; and John Olesky, Class of 1950, and his very personal travel guide for 10 years and 52 countries, Paula Tucker.
