“I got to donate blood yesterday for the blood drive. It's finally been long enough since my last active chemo treatment (2 years).
“I'm looking forward to Saturday evening’s Jenna Won't Sing performance at the Firehouse Café, a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness.
“Feeling Blessed to still be here to enjoy these events and the wonderful people behind them.”
Jane, an LPN at Pediastric Associates since 1999, is a 3-time breast cancer survivor.

She grew up in Worthington but lives in Fairmont with her husband for 27 years, Henry Moore. Beth Pritchard Brooks, Class of 1978, is Nene’s sister.

Jane’s maternal grandfather is the famous Ted McDaniel, long-ago Monongah Streetcar Stationmaster.

Ted’s son, Donald McDaniel, Class of 1946, passed away in 1963. Another son, Jim McDaniel, Class of 1960, lives in Behoboth Beach, Delaware.
Jenna Won't Sing have cancer benefit at Firehouse Cafe on Saturday

As for the Jenna Won’t Sing band, Monongah’s most famous band these days, Greg Patrick and friends will be performing 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at their favorite hangout, the Firehouse Café, 323½ Adams Street, Fairmont, owned and operated by Fairmont firefighter Mark Delbrook.

Jenna performed Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Fairmont Catholic Arts Festival. Posted Greg: “Fun with the kids. Loved the singalongs!”

Jenna will do another cancer benefit Friday, Oct. 24, at the Fairmont Field Club, where I caddied, along with many other Monongah boys, in the 1940s and 1950s.
Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and Jenna will play from 7 to 10.

Posted Greg: “Both the Firehouse Cafe and the Field Club have agreed to donate 10% of the dinner sales that evening for breast cancer research.”
