1960 is 23rd Monongah High yearbook converted into
online version
Finally, I have converted the 1960 Monongah High Black Diamond
yearbook into a free, online-version that you can see by going to
Don’t worry. I assure you that the senior head shots will be much
larger when you check them out in the Picasa online album.
My thanks to Bonnie Nicholson Moats, who loaned me her yearbook eons
ago. I got caught in a triple vise: Each yearbook takes hours and weeks to
convert from print to online version; Paula and I have been traveling; and, due
to the passing away of a former co-worker, I inherited the Akron Beacon Journal
Alumni blog, so I’m spending hours every day doing both the Monongah and the
newspaper blogs, plus heading to Canada with Paula and having Bob Kasper, Class
of 1950, as a guest at our home while Paula took off again, this time to
California to visit her former co-workers from her Kaiser Permanente days of
being a psychologist.
Some of the photos are NOT completely identified. If you recognize
anyone NOT identified, or identified incorrectly, email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com and I’ll make the
changes. It’s not difficult. I just need to know what to do to get the correct
ID for everyone in the photos.
I have converted 23 Monongah High Black Diamond
yearbooks' printed versions into online albums that anyone in the world can see
via the Internet, from 1939 through 1960 and 1964. And promises of yearbooks
through 1979 (the final graduation class) when I’m ready for them. I’m
converting them one at a time because it takes up to 4 weeks to convert one
yearbook from the printed version to the online album.
