Lucille and Sam will be serving as
Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron at Eastern Star ceremonies for a sixth time.
She has been president of the Worthy Grand Matron’s Club, which meant she organized
the annual luncheon for nearly 300 Eastern Star dignitaries from all around
America.
That probably will be the last time
for Grand Matron duties, Lucille says, because her hip and knee problems make
it difficult to stand for two hours during the ceremonies.
Lucille and Sam have visited nearly
every country in Europe, where Sam traveled while working for IBM.
Lucille was a schoolteacher in Anne
Arundel County, Maryland for 26 years.
Their children are Emily Jo, Sam III
and Jennifer Lynn.
