Mary Ann Bienkoski Domico
(January 2, 1932 - September 30, 2014)



Mary Ann Domico, 82, of Monongah passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was born to the late Matthew and Stella Bienkoski on January 2, 1932 in Worthington.

She graduated from Monongah High School in 1950. In August of that same year, she married Louie “Scoogum” Domico. They remained in Monongah for the next 54 years where they raised 4 children.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Domico; her son, Louis Domico Jr.; her granddaughter, Amber Nicole Domico; her brother, Edward Bienkoski; her sisters, Lucy Bienkoski Goldsberry, Ann Bienkoski Plachta and Irene Bienkoski Plachta.

Mary was a lifelong member of the Monongah Catholic Church where she served a term as president of the women’s auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and bingo player, and her two true passions in life were her family and her flowers.

Mary is survived by her four children, Cindy Domico Chism of Monongah, Gary Domico of Monongah, John and Susan Domico of Morgantown, Tim and Patty Domico of Monongah; three grandchildren, Theresa Chism and Sean Lowther of Worthington, Loucinda and Eric Moore of Augusta, West Virginia, and John Mathew Domico of Morgantown; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alex Moore of Augusta, West Virginia, Brandon and Luke Chism of Worthington; and 3 sisters, Loretta Bienkoski Domico of Monongah, Wanda Bienkowki Allowatt of Parkersburg and Pauline Bienkoski Koscoe of Florida.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 11 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Vigil Service Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah. 

Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monongah. Condolences may be sent online to the family at www.domicofh.com .
