DeMarys litter the landscape of
Monongah High and Marion County over the years. This photo is when these
DeMarys and Rossis were children.
Jo-Jo DeMary has been married to Yvonne King DeMary for 21
years. They live in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. Jo-Jo is a City
of Red Bank, Tennessee engineer. Jo-Jo is a Red Bank High School graduate near
Chattanooga.
Jo-Jo’s siblings are Kim
DeMary Clowers, Class of 1979, living in Red Bank with husband Earl Lee
Clowers; Julie DeMary; and Joanne DeMary.
Their parents are Joe DeMary, a
1940s Monongah High graduate, and Laurelle Costello Hustead.
Kim DeMary Clowers, noted for her
bunny rabbits cookie jars collection, has been friends with Debbie Weaver
Hurley since they were 4 years old. Debbie, Class of 1979, is married to Milton
Hurley, 1977 Fairview graduate.
My connections with the DeMary family
include the late Anthony “Plumber” DeMary, Class of 1950, brother of Ann DeMary
Eates, Class of 1945, married to Joe Eates, Class of 1945.
Ann and Joe still
live on Bridge Street, just before you start up the hill toward out of town.
Ann and Joe are the godparents of my son, John Larry Olesky. Jimmy DeMary was
Ann and Plumber’s brother.
If you have memories of the DeMary or
Rossi families, email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com and I’ll add them to this Monongah High Alumni blog article.
