kick returner/receiver in WVU history until Tavon Austin came along, and Monongah High’s
Charlie Miller, a defense standout.
Charlie had interceptions, fumble
recoveries and blocked punts during his time at WVU.
He was on Coach Earl
Keener’s 1968 and 1969 state champ football teams that, in 1968, included
Alabama coach Nick “Brother” Saban as the quarterback and starred at the 1970 Monongah High state track meet with MHS' Kerry Marbury, also on the 1968 and 1969 football teams.
