Juanita Fetty Grieco passes away

Juanita Pearl Grieco, 83, died Sunday, February 21 in her Monongah home.

Her daughters, Terry Grieco Cunningham, Class of 1978, and Julia Grieco Yost, also live in Monongah.

Daughter Patricia Grieco Haught, Class of 1974, lives in Morgantown.

There’s also a John Grieco, Class of 1941,  among Monongah High graduates.

Juanita’s obituary:

Juanita Pearl Grieco, 83, of Monongah died early Sunday morning February 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born on March 10, 1932 in Peoria, WV daughter of the late George and Virginia Phillips Fetty.

Juanita was a devout member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah. In earlier years she worked at Westinghouse.

She is survived by her children Sharon Fizer and husband Steve of Pahoa, Hawaii, Patricia Haught of Morgantown, Terry Cunningham and husband Bill of Monongah, Katharine Ridenour and husband Jeff of Gloucester, Virginia and Julia Yost and husband Russell of Monongah.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Fizer and wife Melisssa of Indiana, Robert Fizer and wife Tiffany of Indiana, Robin Haught of Fairmont, Angie Haught of Fairmont, Ricki Jo Lee of Fairmont, Caitlin Cunningham and fiancé Patrick Smith of Fairmont, Erin Cunningham of Morgantown, Daniel Ridenour of Richmond, Ashley Ridenour of Gloucester, Virginia and Gregory Yost and wife Jennifer of Monongah. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Juanita will be remembered as a loving, generous and caring person to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Sam T. Grieco in 2003,   siblings Betty (Kenneth) Payne, Gerald (Helen) Fetty, and Virgil (Marie) Fetty and her son-in-law Ancel Haught.

Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 25, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah with Fr. S.A. Arokiadass as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monongah.

A vigil service led by Deacon Lou Belldina will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
