Sue’s obituary:

Glenda Sue Brzuzy

·         DIED: May 22, 2016

·         LOCATION: Fairmont, West Virginia

Glenda Sue Brzuzy, our loving mom, was carried on Angel wings to Heaven on Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was reunited with the love of her life of 49 years, Stan Brzuzy. She was looking forward to the reunion with her mom and dad, Woodrow and Doris Strawderman and her dear friend Gay King.

Mimi was the heartbeat of her family. She loved and adored her grandchildren, Jordane, Devon, Jasmin, Myles, Zoe, Jaida, Jarrett, Daxx, Riley, Roman and Braelyn. She loved cheering them to victories and a few losses over the years. She laughed taking silly snap shot pictures with the Kids. Sundays were family dinners and games of baseball in the yard and visiting with family and friends. Her home was always open to everyone and full of food and love.

Sue had 13 Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sisters whom she loved very much. Their last trip together was a 3 day stay at the Greenbrier. Her sisters have been her faithful support through many life events.

Mom's other passion was cooking and serving meals at the West Virginia Rescue Mission, where she served for over 15 years. She cherished time visiting with the Mission Clients and had a special heart for the children that resided there. She graciously served with her daughter Kristie, niece Kelly Nicholson and friends Billie Honaker, Elaine Priest and the late Gay King and Kathy Gaskins.

Sue was a member of the Mt Sharon Free Methodist Church for her entire life. She was a member of the Sonshine committee that assisted the needy. She enjoyed cooking and serving bereavement meals with her church family.

She is survived by her daughters, Kristie Solheim and her husband Brent and Karla Trotto and her husband Jamie all of Fairmont; her brothers, Jerry Strawderman, Jim Strawderman and Dennie Strawderman; special friends, Stacey Strawderman, and Sue Strawderman, nieces, Savana Strawderman, Jayme Payton and husband Aaron, Sara Fellows and husband Paul, and Kelly Nicholson and her husband Quint; nephews, Clay Strawderman, Dylan Strawderman and Rod Strawderman and many other family members.

Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Wednesday from 1pm to8pm and on Thursday from 1pm to 3pm. The funeral service will be at 3pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Austin Lynch and Oliver Rowen officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family of Sue Brzuzy would graciously like to thank Dr. Ang, Dr. Verma, Dr. Dev, Dr. Alapatt and all the kind nurses of 3A – 3B at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
