WVU students won a school-record 30 global scholarships
and fellowships to research, make contributions to science, learn new
languages, teach abroad, study different cultures and form solutions to
critical world issues.
Last year there were only 17. The most ever
was 21 in 2013. There were a school-record 11 Gilman Scholarship winners.

McConnell recognized these scholars April 27 at the Erickson Alumni Center.
