Kitty & Sue on the road again
The gadabout Ahouse sisters are at it
again.
This time they’re heading to Pigeon
Forge, Tennesee, the land of Dollywood (as in Dolly Parton), the Titanic tour,
the Ober Gatlingburg aerial tram and the Old Mill Restaurant.
My son, John Larry, and his family
are regular visitors to the Gatlinburg area. They love it.
They’re not alone. Pigeon Forge draws
10 million visitors a year. That’s a mighty big crowd of folks acomin’ for a spell.
For Mary “Kitty” Ahouse Morrison, Class of 1968, and Sue Ahouse Schrader, Class of 1971, it’s just another notch in
their travels belt. Between them, they have run half-marathons
in Chicago, and hit arts mecca Sedona, Arizona, New York City, Cabo San Lucas and Key West.
Sue
also bounces between her Stoney Lonesome and Piscataway, New Jersey homes. Kitty settles for her Lyndon Avenue home in
Monongah.
