Lewis “Fuzzy” Simmons, who married
into the Bob Fox family, passed away Friday, May 6.
His widow is Lois Rader Fox Simmons,
whose siblings are Doris Fox Crislip,
Loretta Fox McCombs, Mary Jane Fox Hickman, Class of 1960, all of the Fairmont
area, and the late Bob Fox, Class of 1948, and Shirley Fox Wilson.
Bob has
five children, Robert Fox Jr., John Fox and Tina Fox Daugherty of Vienna, near
Parkersburg, and Rita Fox Tracewell of Arnold, Maryland and Ralph Fox of
Parkersburg.
Nancy Fox
Pethel is Lois’ cousin and friends with my sister, Jackie Olesky Straight,
Class of 1955, who lives in Rivesville.

Lewis Ray "Fuzzy" Simmons, 83, of
Kingmont, passed away May 6, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Fuzzy was born
Feb. 11, 1933, in Kingmont, son of the late Benny and Velma Irene Dodd Simmons.
Fuzzy was retired from Alcan Aluminum Corp.,
where he was the supply manager. He is a veteran of the United States Army and
served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Enterprise United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Rader Fox
Simmons; a daughter, Lana Rae Simmons of Morgantown; a son, Larry Robert
Simmons and companion Cyndi Coffman and her daughter Sydney Wilshire of
Kingmont; a brother, Phillip Simmons and wife Kathy of Florida; two
grandchildren, Cameron and Tanner Simmons; one great-grandchild, Briella Shaye
Simmons; and a close family friend, Jennifer Hunt of Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded
in death by a brother, Richard Simmons.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.
until 8 p.m. Monday and from 11:00 a.m. until noon Tuesday at Domico Funeral
Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont. The funeral service directed by Rev. David
Spence will be at noon Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the
Grandview Memorial Gardens. Full military rites will be conducted at graveside
by the Marion Veterans Council.
