Lovern, who lives in my birthplace after coming from Baltimore, Maryland,
writes that Fairmont’s Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday will not be a parade or
require signups.
Just show up at the East Side VFW
Post 7048, walk to the bridge for a short ceremony, Veterans Plaza, VFW Post
629, Grandview Memorial Gardens and then back to the East Side VFW for food.
With a police escort.
Everyone will chow down at the East
Side VFW and pay their respects to those who have served our country.
