New art workshop in Monongah
Monongah Art and Antiques, owned by Diane Criswell Furr
next to the Dairy Kone in Monongah on U.S. 19, opened in April and seems to be
picking up a head of steam.
It displays Diane’s work. And she conducts workshops for beginners.
Says Diane: “My main goal, really,
is to reach out to the local people to see if I can help stimulate their
artistic abilities. I feel like there isn't a lot of exposure, and I hope that
people will be able to make crafts or items that they could eventually bring in
here and sell.”
It is open Tuesday through Friday.
Diane plans another snowman
workshop at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13. It is $15 per person with a preferred
limit of five students. She’s thinking of adding a nativity workshop.
