Bob Fox, Class of 1948, has been transferred from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to home hospice in the Parkersburg home of Bob and his wife, Lillie Bright Fox, Class of 1949.

So, as his son, also named Bob Fox says, “We can all be there when God takes him home.”

When the family showed up at UPMC in Pittsburgh, son Bob said, “They said, wow! Everyone is here.”

Son Bob responded: “Our dad’s our hero.”

Papa Bob has been in Pittsburgh since October. Among his problems for nearly all of 2014 have been fluid in his heart and lungs, liver disease and a herniated disc.

Nathaleen Cameron Oliverio, Class of 1948, has been keeping a close eye on football Bob’s situation. We’ve exchanged several emails about it because “Bob & I have been friends forever. He was a tough guy & I just hope he’s not in pain. He loved everyone & cared about us all. A dear friend !!!”

Son Bob lives in Vienna, West Virginia near Parkersburg. Monday, Nov. 10 was son Bob’s birthday, but there’ll be no celebrating in the Fox family, or the Monongah High family, for our fearsome football Lion.
