Monongah residents only.
You need birth certificate to prove child is 12 years or younger
and proof of residency (such as 2 utility bills) to prove that you live in
Monongah.
2-5 p.m. Friday, December 19 for Marion County residents only. Same requirements to prove that you live in Marion County.
It is sponsored by Monongah Family Fish Day organizers Dave and Warren
Sloan.
It started out in the 1970s when Warren Sloan would leave packages on doorsteps
with a note that said "Robin Hood was here." Then it morphed into the
public Robin Hood Project, and eventually the Christmas in Monongah toy
giveaway.
Monongah Town Councilman Warren Sloan is the owner of E&M Auto on
Lyndon Avenue in Fairmont. He started the small company in 1996 that brings in
about $130,000 a year.
