2-5 p.m. Thursday, December 18 in Monongah Town Hall for Monongah residents only.

You need birth certificate to prove child is 12 years or younger and proof of residency (such as 2 utility bills) to prove that you live in Monongah.

2-5 p.m. Friday, December 19 for Marion County residents only. Same requirements to prove that you live in Marion County.

It is sponsored by Monongah Family Fish Day organizers Dave and Warren Sloan.

It started out in the 1970s when Warren Sloan would leave packages on doorsteps with a note that said "Robin Hood was here." Then it morphed into the public Robin Hood Project, and eventually the Christmas in Monongah toy giveaway.

Monongah Town Councilman Warren Sloan is the owner of E&M Auto on Lyndon Avenue in Fairmont. He started the small company in 1996 that brings in about $130,000 a year.
