Bob Fox still in Pittsburgh hospital

Bob Fox, Class of 1948, the fearsome and fearless fullback for Monongah High School, has been in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center since October. UPMC is at Heinz 57 Center, Fifth Floor, 339 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

His son, also named Bob Fox, who lives in Vienna, West Virginia near Parkersburg, posted this today (Friday, Nov. 7):

“Talked to my Father today on my lunch break. He said hi but fell back to sleep. I told him I love him.”

Papa Bob Fox also was hospitalized in May with fluid in his heart and lungs. His liver disease “is an ongoing problem,” his son said. Papa Bob also has been treated for a herniated disc.

Bob and John Fox headed for Pittsburgh Sunday, Nov. 9 to visit Papa Bob.
