August 20 Monongahfest events

The lineup has shaped up for the annual Monongahfest, which will happen Saturday, Aug. 20.

MONONGAHFEST ~ SATURDAY AUGUST 20th - Country Breakfast in the Town Hall - The Miner’s Run (3.61miles) at Rails to Trails. Registration begins at 6a - Pinball Tournament in the Fire Dept Meeting Room - Parade at noon, Little Miss Monongahfest - Baby Photo Contest - Corn Hole Tournament at Murray Field ($10 team entry fee) - Flop in the Slop - Tug of War Contest at the River Point (5 per team needed) - Duck Race - The Gamblers Band - Jenna Won’t Sing Band (that would be Greg Patrick recovered from his surgery and his gang of trubadours). - Fireworks - Crafts & Vendors ~ Fire Dept. - Food Booths ~ Town Parking Lot - Children’s Games ~ Parking Lot   The first Monongahfest was in 1988, and Debbie Manzo Vandetta, Class of 1973 and the wife of Monongah Mayor Greg Vandetta, has been a part of the festival committee every year.
