Arizona always had a warm place in
the heart of Sue Ahouse Schrader, Class of 1971 – according to the weather
report, 115 degree high today when Sue and family landed.
It’s a mite toastier than Stoney
Lonesome or Piscataway, New Jersey, the two homes that Sue and long-time mate Larry
Schrader share.
Sue prepped for Arizona sun and heat
with previous trips to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Key West.
Don’t be surprised if Sue again
visits the fabled art community of Sedona, Arizona.
I’m sure that Sue and Larry, Laura and Justin, and Beth, Tim, Gabe and Nate will have a great time in a land where every rise in the road opens up a new vista in a different color. I know I did.

Maybe Sue got the traveling bug while
serving her nation for more than two decades by being in military service.
This
time she left her frequent traveling companion, sister Mary “Kitty” Ahouse Morrison,
behind in Monongah. Kitty wrote: “Sue
and family arrived in Arizona. Thanks for thoughts and prayers.”
Their brother, Mike Ahouse, a North
Marion grad and a mailman living in Monongah, is used to being odd man out and
left at home.
Kitty, not so much.
