155 you missed by not attending 2016 MHS Alumni reunion
Here are the names of the 155
Monongah High alumni you missed seeing by not going to the 2016 93rd
Monongah High Alumni Reunion.
The most faithful attendees not on
the Alumni Board of Directors are Dixie Slimmer Rogers Edmond, Class of 1958,
and husband Bruce Edmond, Class of 1957, who live in Monongah.
Alumni board members Donna Colbert
Davis and Bill Davis, Dolores Edwards, Jim and Linda Lopez Gandy and Nick
Scrivo are always there, of course.
Carol Thompson Spatafore, Class of
1965, has attended every Reunion from 2008 through 2016.
Okey Edgell, Class of 1944, was the
oldest graduate I saw on the list. He was there with Arlene Martheney Decker
Edgell, Class of 1951, his wife.
Ramona Fullen Michalski, Class of
1949, who lives in Monongah, was next-oldest on the list. Ramona’s home off
Bridge Street Extension (up the hill from the bridge) is a de facto Monongah
High and town of Monongah musem. She has tons of mementos of both in her home.
Ramona’s attendance streak goes back
to 2012 and Okey’s to 2011.
Linda Sawyer Duckworth, Class of
1966, came from New Market, Alabama with husband Stephen Duckworth. Pat
Levelle, Class of 1971, came from Athens, Georgia.
Bill Meredith, Class of 1957, came
from Sarasota, Florida, although he also has a home with his wife, Clarksburg
Washington Irving grad Roleta Meredith, on Buckeye Lake, Ohio.
Sue Ahouse Schrader, Class of 1971,
came from Piscataway, New Jersey but, like Bill, she also has another home, in
Stoney Lonesome.
Barbara Oliverio-Currey, Class of
1976, came from Parker, Colorado.
Tom Dean, Class of 1949, came from
Lynch Station, Virginia. Tom and Ramona have been friends since their Monongah
days.
Paula Colanero O’Connor, Class of
1966, came from Manassas, Virginia.
Brenda Sanders Pollard, Class of
1961, had a shorter trip, from Akron, Ohio, which is adjacent to my residence
of Tallmadge.
Everyone else who gave an address
came from West Virginia.
38 who attended also were at the 2015
Reunion.
