Town Clerk Mickey Aldridge passes away

Aldridge, town clerk for 30 years, passed away Sunday, March 6.

She was the widow of John Aldridge.
Her children are Greg Aldridge, Class
of 1972; Mark Aldridge, Class of 1973; and Scott Aldridge, 1983 North Marion
grad.

Mary Jean “Mickey” (Walker) Aldridge, 81, of
Monongah went to be with the Lord Sunday March 6, 2016 at her home. She was
born December 16, 1934, daughter of the late Kermit and Ruby (Eminger) Walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, John Edwin Aldridge; a grandchild, Robert Jay
Aldridge.
She was employed as a Clerk by the Town of
Monongah for 30 years. She attended the Trinity UMC in Monongah.
Mrs. Aldridge is survived by three children,
John Gregory “Greg” Aldridge and wife Juni of Morgantown, Mark Aldridge and
wife Donna of Rachel, Scott Aldridge and wife Leigh of Monongah; grandchildren,
John “Bubba” Aldridge, Jennifer Payton and husband Mike, Amber Slagle and
husband Josh, Jonathan Aldridge, and Jordon Aldridge; great grandchildren,
Taylor Thompson, Isabella Slagle, Aubrey and Logan Payton. She also leaves
behind her beloved dogs, Lacy and Pepi.
The family will receive
friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday and noon to 2 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be held at 2:00
p.m. Thursday March 10, in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Preston
officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
