Bud’s obituary:
James
"Bud" Banker passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, March 2,
2016 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years,
Karen Banker, his parents Eugene and Frances Banker, and his faithful
four-legged companion Ranger. Mr. Banker was retired from North American
Philips Lighting in Fairmont.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Paul) Kroll of Clarksburg and son, Shawn (Amber) Banker of Worthington and four grandchildren, Brandon Kroll, Chase Banker, Emily Kroll and Autumn Llaneza. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Sheena) Banker of Ohio, and brothers-in-law Larry (Sally) Tetrick and Greg Tetrick along with several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are special cousins Vince McElwain, Deanna McElwain, and Kristen McElwain Davis and special friend Judy Richards.
Bud was a lifelong hunter and fisherman, but in recent years was most known as the number one fan of his grandchildren, of whom he was most proud. He loved being surrounded by his family and never met a stranger. He was much loved and will be sorely missed.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St. Shinnston on Sunday from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 7th at 11:00am with Rev. Chris Mullett officiating. Interment will follow at the Parrish Run Cemetery.
