Green acres is the place to be for them.

Fairmont State grad Steve, who grew up in Carolina, will retire from Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland at the end of the school year, ending his 48-year teaching career. He teaches engineering design.

Steve writes:
“Our new home is ready and we are moving to Hanover, Pennsylvania. The town where UTZ potato chips and Hanover Pretzels are made and life is a little less chaotic.
“We settle on the house this Monday. The house sits on a 1/2 acre of land and the view from our deck is fantastic. A great place to enjoy a glass of wine and a beautiful sunset.
“We have 3,665 feet of finished living space in this craftsman style home. There is no upstairs. One level and a finished basement.”
Steve added:
“Holly is resigning her job and will officially retire in early 2017.”
Steve and Holly’s daughter, Kristen Mikulski Mitchell, lives in Istanbul, Turkey with husband Nick Mitchell.

Steve’s siblings are Tom Mikulski, Class of 1966, who grew up in Carolina and lives in Henderson, Nevada; David Higinbotham Greensburg, Pennsylvania; Catherine Rogers of Fairmont; and Susan Morgan Perrotto of Cupertino, California.
