Diana married Jim Hess. Children Debbie Hess Anderson, married to Terry Anderson, Carla Hess, Jimmy Hess and Jeff Hess.
She was
from Rivesville. She was a Hoffman but her children all went to Monongah
schools.
They live in Helens Run area.
My sister, Jackie Olesky Straight, Class of
1955, who lives in Rivesville, provided more information about Diana:
John,
Diana Hess is a sister to Martin Hoffman, owner of the Rivesville
Pharmacy. (Jackie’s daughter) Renee works for him whenever he needs her
and she isn't working at Ruby (Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, the WVU Medical
Center).
I went to the funeral home Monday and what a beautiful looking
lady! So sad to leave this world at 71 but our own mother was only 56
which was much too young to pass away.
I feel very fortunate to live this many years and to be in fairly good
health. We must have good genes from our ancestors!
I went to the cemetery today for Mom & Dad, another cemetery for
baby Kurt David and hubby David, and the third one for my mother and
father-in-law.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter.
Love, Jackie
Jackie also
is busy with charity work, which earned her Catholic Charities’ Salt and Light
Award a few years back. She directed preparation of the Easter baskets for
disadvantaged children for her Fairmont church and is active in the Soup Opera
for those temporarily down on their luck.
