Carolyn Prahl Mikulski hospitalized

Carolyn Marie Prahl Mikulski, Class of 1966, is in Fairmont General Hospital after emergency surgery for a perforated diverticulitis.

Cheri Mikulski Smith, 1988 North Marion grad, is her daughter and lives in Morgantown. Carolyn also is the mother of Tom Mikulski, a son by her ex-husband, also named Tom Mikulski, Class of 1966, who lives in Henderson, Nevada, a Las Vegas suburb.

Marian “Mimi” Prahl Tennant, Class of 1969, is her sister. Ashley Mikulski is her granddaughter.

Carolyn lives in Monongah, is a Fairmont State graduate and a former dispatcher at Dominion Hope.

There are a lot of Mikulskis in Monongah High history.

Children of the late Violet Morris Higinbotham Mikulski, Class of 1944, are Tom Mikulski, Class of 1966, who went from Carolina to Henderson, Nevada; Fairmont State grad Stephen Mikulski, Class of 1964, a Montgomery County Public Schools teacher of engineering design  married to Holly White Mikulski and living in Germantown, Maryland; David Higinbotham, living in Greensburg, Pennsylvania with wife Cheryl; Catherine Mikulski Rogers, Class of 1969, married to Harry Rogers and living in Fairmont; and Susan Mikulski Morgan, married to Nick Perrotto and living in Cupertino, California.  

Steve and Holly’s daughter, Kristen Mikulski Mitchell, lives in Istanbul, Turkey with husband Nick Mitchell.

Tom’s son, Tom B. Mikulski II, is a 1986 North Marion High grad who lives in Denver, Colorado.

Another granddaughter, Amie Marchesani, lives in Monongah with husband Nick.
