There’s wasn’t just happiness among
former Lions in Mountaineer Field on Saturday.
There was the former Lion who was
jubiliant because his Tigers defeated the Florida State Seminoles to remain
among the nation’s unbeaten teams and the probable champion of the Atlantic
Coast Conference (Clemson won, 23-13) .
That would be T.J. Savereno, Class of
1979, who is an Extension
Associate at Clemson
University, where he earned his degree in Wildlife Biology. T.J. lives in Florence, South
Carolina with wife Lynette.
The other children of Hattie and Tony
Saverono are Linda Savereno Moorehead, Class of 1968, and Mark Saverino, Class
of 1970.
Other Monongah High alumni in the Savereno family:
Francis Savereno Pulice, Class of 1948, who passed away in 2014.
Mary Savereno Hewitt, Class of 1952, who lives in Morgantown.
Jean Savereno
DeCarlo, Class of 1945, who lives in Morgantown.
