Obituary for Bob Fox’s widow

The obituary for Lillie Pearl Bright Fox, widow of former Monongah High football fullback and basketball center Bob Fox, and mother of their five children.

She'll be buried on the hillside overlooking I-79 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Fairmont.
 
Lillie P. Fox, 85 of Parkersburg, passed away November 18, 2015 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born in Farmington, WV a daughter of the late John David Bright and Myrtle (Fluharty) Bright.

Lillie was a graduate of Farmington High. She retired from the City of Parkersburg where she was a Secretary for the Fire Department. She was well-known for Lillie’s Famous Hot Dog Sauce that she made and served for the Rout 95 Carryout.

Surviving are her children: Tina Daugherty (Dave) of Vienna, Rita Tracewell (Alan) of Arnold, MD, Robert Fox Jr of Vienna, Ralph Fox of Parkersburg and John Fox of Vienna and a sister, Peaches Baker of Fairmont.

She also leaves behind four loving grandchildren: Alan Tracewell Jr, Adriane Eckert, Jamie Atkinson and Shaun Daugherty and six great grandchildren: Taylor, Hunter, Haidyn, Benjamin, Stella and Dean.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Robert W. Fox who died November 12, 2014, sisters Betty McKinney, Dixie Rinehart and Shelby Whinnie and brothers Bob Bright and John Bright Jr.

Funeral services will be Sunday 2PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Evangelist Dana Slingluff officiating. Interment will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Fairmont Monday 11AM. Visitation will be Saturday 2-4 and 6-8PM.
