passed away on Thursday. Her married
name was
Dennison. Her sister Sandra (Hearn Wimer) passed last month.
I knew both of them very well at Monongah.
“Sharon was
the best of friends with Carolyn Burley and Karen Jo Martino of Worthington. Sad times for those families.

Sharon’s
husband for 50 years, Fairview High graduate James Walter Dennison, passed away
in 2013. They lived in the Pine Grove community of Fairmont.
They have a son, Jimmy Dennison and his
wife Cathie of Fairmont, and a daughter, Melodie Nuzum and her husband Carl of
Fairmont. They also have five grandchildren: Ryan A. Nuzum, Travis James Nuzum,
Madison Nicole Nuzum, Morgan Nicole Dennison and Evan James Dennison.
Sharon’s brother is Clarence Hearn of
South Carolina, Robert Hearn, Class of 1966, of Mannington and James Hearn of Utah.

Sharon Kay Dennison, 74, of Fairmont, Pine Grove Community,
passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at United Hospital Center.
She was born in Shinnston on February 25, 1941 a daughter of the late Clarence "Pepper" Hearn and Virginia C. (Anderson) Hearn.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, James W. Dennison, on January 4, 2013.
Sharon was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Barrackville Baptist Church. She graduated from Monongah High School.
She was an avid Mountaineer Sports Fan. She was very fond of her cat Fluffy.
Sharon is survived by her children, her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Cathie Dennison of Fairmont; her daughter and son-in-law, Melodie and Carl Nuzum of Fairmont; five very special grandchildren, Ryan A. Nuzum, Travis James Nuzum, Madison Nicole Nuzum, Morgan Nicole Dennison and Evan James Dennison all of Fairmont.
Also surviving are three brothers and their spouses, Clarence and Linda Hearn of South Carolina, Robert and Phyllis Hearn of Mannington and James and Beverly Hearn of Utah; a brother-in-law, Dave Wimer of Fairmont and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Penny and Pat Lee of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Wimer.
Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street Fairmont on Monday from 1pm to 8pm and on Tuesday from 10am to 11am. The funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Cyphers officiating. Interment services will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
