Lady Gaga to recuperate
with W.Va. grandparents
Lady Gaga’s final tour performances have been canceled due to a hip
injury that will require surgery. Lady Gaga has been diagnosed with synovitis,
a severe inflammation of the joints caused by repetitive twitchy dance
movements.
Doctors have also determined she has a labral tear in her right hip. The
labrum is a layer of muscle that holds the hip joint in place.
Lady Gaga will undergo surgery at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling
and will need several weeks to recover.
She will stay with her grandparents, Paul
and Veronica “Ronnie” Bissett, who live on Zitko Terrace in Glen Dale, not far
from Wheeling, as she often does to get away from the crazies.
The Bissetts are the parents of Lady Gaga’s
mother, Cynthia Bissett Germanotta, a graduate of John Marshall High School and
WVU.
Country music star, Brad Paisley was born
and raised in Glen Dale, where his mom is a schoolteacher and his dad works for
the West Virginia Highway Department.
So does Lionel Cartright, a country singer
who charted twelve singles on the Country Billboard. And former West Virginia governor
and convicted felon Arch Moore, Jr., who served three years in prison.
And Charles Manson, who murdered Sharon
Tate and Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, was raised by his aunt and uncle just a
hop, skip and jump away from Glen Dale after his mother and uncle were
sentenced to five years in prison for robbing a gas station in Charleston.
Mrs. Bissett said: “I look forward to nursing her back to health for the
next few months.”
