Chancey’s Grill closes forever

Chancey’s Grill won’t re-open in Fairmont, at least not with Vince Fazio, 2009 North Marion High grad who took over the 1602 Locust Avenue restaurant until the nasty winter froze pipes and made a mess. Vince is selling all his restaurant equipment that was in the building.

Vince and the landlord have inreconcilable differences: The landlord doesn’t want to spend money to bring the restaurant to Vince’s standards and Vince isn’t inclined to improve the building on his dime.

Vince’s parents are Steve Fazio and Nancy Fazio, who passed away in 2005. Vince’s grandparents were Renzy Fazio and Frances Olesky Fazio.

Too bad. I was really looking forward to Vince serving me a ribeye steak dinner.

But when Vince finds somewhere else to satisfy his restaurateur cravings, I’ll be there.
