Joe Piteleski passes away
Joe Piteleski, Class of 1954, passed away Feb. 11 in California.
Brother Danny Piteleski, Class of 1968, lives in Morgantown.
There’s also an Irene Piteleski, Class of 1968, and Thomas
Piteleski, Class of 1965.

Joe’s obituary:
TUSTIN, Calif. — Joseph Donald Piteleski, 78,
of Tustin, California, passed away on February 11, 2015, following a brief
illness.
Joe was born in Worthington, WV, on September
10, 1936, the eldest son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Hatfield) Piteleski.
He is survived by a son, Joseph (wife Leslie)
of San Clemente, CA; a daughter, Cathy Stevens of Huntington Beach, CA; eight
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Danny (wife
Lorena), of Morgantown, WV; his companion of 30 years, Paula Kovacs of Tustin,
CA; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Piteleski of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces
and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was
predeceased by a daughter, Lisa; a brother, William Piteleski; and by his
former wife and mother of his children, Carrie Mitchell Piteleski.
Joe graduated from Monongah High School and
Fairmont State University. He began his career in industrial sales with BF
Goodrich, and worked and traveled extensively in sales for 30 years. He was
also licensed as a Securities broker and a Real Estate broker. Though
semi-retired, Joe was still active in real estate speculation at the time of
his death.
A Funeral Mass was held in Silverado Canyon,
California, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at St. Michael’s Abbey. Mr.
Piteleski’s ashes will be interred next to his parents at the Shinnston Masonic
Cemetery in a private service.
