Obituary for Patsy Colisino, Sr.
Patsy Colisino, Sr.'s sons are Harry James Colisino, 1974 Mannington High graduate, married to Bev Morgan Colisino, Class of 1974, and Patsy Colisino, Jr., Class of 1975, who lives in Barrackville and works at Fairmont General Hospital.
Patsy Colisino, Sr., 88, of Carolina, passed away Monday, March
2, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born April 4,
1926, a son of the late James and Mary DeSalvo Colisino.

Patsy was a truck driver, having retired from Angelucci Trucking
with 30 years of service. He was also a coal miner for the Joann Mine at
Rachel, a member of the UMWA Local 9909, VFW Post 629 in Fairmont, American
Legion Post.17 in Fairmont, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 9 in
Fairmont and loved to fish.
He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in World War II
in the European Theater. He was also a member of the Carolina United Methodist
Church.
In 1975, Patsy earned his GED from Fairmont Senior High School,
and was the longest continuous resident of Carolina, having been born in the
same room in which he died. Born the son of Italian immigrants, Patsy was a
proud and patriotic American who served his nation and community with honor.
Blessed with two wonderful marriages, Patsy was preceded in
death by his first wife, Margaret L. Markley, on March 28, 1985 and is survived
by his second wife, Erma M. Nuzum Colisino, whom he married November 12, 1992.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Harry James Colisino, Sr. and wife
Beverly of Carolina, and Patsy Colisino, Jr., of Farmington, and ex-wife, Donna
Colisino, a stepson: Richard W. Nuzum and wife Kathy, of Grafton, 2
grandchildren: Harry James Colisino, Jr. and wife Megan, Jennifer Ann Colisino
Schwartzback, 4 great grandchildren, and 4 step-grandchildren: James McDonald
and wife Lori, Christie Musgrove, Cassie and Jenna Nuzum, and 1 step great
granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, Patsy was also preceded in death by
a son, Robert Louis Colisino, a step daughter, Debra Nuzum, 4 brothers, Carmen,
Fred, Tony and Louis “Skeeter” Colisino, 2 sisters, Rose Klam and Elizabeth
Marano, and a half-sister, Flora Payne.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington
on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Thursday at
11:00 a.m. with Rev. Danny Blake and Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Interment
will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Farmington with Marion County Veterans Council
