John Moore, Class of 1956, obituary 

John A. Moore, 75, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Worthington, passed away Tuesday (April 1, 2014) at the Gilchrist Hospice Care House in Towson, Md. He was born May 21, 1938, son of the late William and Leona (Snowden) Moore. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore after 45 years of service.

He is a graduate of Monongah High School, Class of 1956, and attended one year at Fairmont State College.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, two brothers, Clarence Moore and Billy Moore (an infant) and one sister, Leona Moore Wilson.

Two nieces survive, Carolyn Straight of Fairview and Sandra Merrifield of Fairmont; three nephews, Skip Wilson and Butch Moore, both of Fairview; and Gregg Moore of Fairmont; and his good friend Becky Galloway.

He chose to give his body to science in the hopes of helping to find a cure for cancer. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
