Down & dirty drinking for Dewey

They threw a party Saturday for Dewey Tarley in an appropriate place, a bar.

Worthington firefighter Dewey Tarley, 41, passed away April 1 and knew how to have fun.

He was the brother of 1982 North Marion grad Phillis Tarley, assistant campus director of admissions at Ross Medical Education Center in Morgantown, who lives in Kingmont but grew up in Idamay with Dewey.

That’s Phillis in the photo with a gaggle of gals.

That’s Phillis without a “y” and Killi without an “e” or a “y” and Wende without a “y” and Kandy without a “c.” They were born different, and are still living it up that way.

Dewey’s children are Spencer Tarley and Hannah Tarley both of Fairmont. Another sibling is Phillip Tarley of Fairmont.

Dewey’s long-time best friend was Mike Ahouse, brother of Susan Ahouse Schrader, Class of 1971, and Mary "Kitty" Ahouse Morrison, Class of 1968.

Hope you enjoyed watching the bar blowout in your memory, Dewey!
