Toni Pflock Hennis, Class of 1955, and Ceiteag Hennis enjoyed their July 17-31 Alaska and Yukon cruise.

Toni, widow of Russ Hennis, lives in Summerfield, Florida. She’s a Fairmont State graduate.

Ceiteag is from Indian Rocks Beach, Florida and is studying marine biology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

When Paula and I attended the 2016 West Virginia Reunion in The Villages, Florida, we came across Toni’s sister, Karen Pflock Bosley, a Monongah High graduate who lives in Florida and worked for the FBI and at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Karen’s college path included Fairmont State and Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland.

There’s a third sister, Monongah High grad Nita Pflock Brooks of Desarc, Missouri. Same father, two moms.

Their brother was the late Martin Walter Pflock, who went to Monongah High before graduating from Ribault High in Jacksonville, Florida. Martin was an excellent golfer at Morgantown’s Royal Oaks Golf Club.

There’s a Brenda Hennis who lives in Dwight, Illinois.

Interestingly, Toni was close friends at Monongah High with Jackie Olesky Straight, Class of 1955, who lives in Rivesville. Jackie traveled to Alaska a month or so ago with her daughter, Renee Straight, a WVU Medicine pharmacist in Morgantown at Ruby Memorial.

Maybe the two Lions can compare notes.
