Barbara Fleming Marsh, Class of 1947, who lives in Thousand Oaks, California, sent me this email with sad news about a Monongah High grad:

John,

On a sad note, we lost another classmate from the Class of 1947.  Lois Carol Smith passed away June 27, 2014.   She would have been 85 on July 2, 2014.  She was also a graduate of Monongah Elementary School and the Drum Majorette during the 1946-47 year.  She is being buried in Myrtle Beach, where she lived most of her adult life.
