Leatrice Yokay Greaser health report
Leatrice
Yokay Greaser, Class of 1950, who lives in Fairmont, had another visit to the
hospital emergency room.
She
had a nosebleed and her blood pressure shot above 200.

She’s
no stranger to hospitals, as are most of us in our 80’s.
In
late 2015, Leatrice wound up in ER after sliding on her floor.
In 2014, Leatrice had two stays in Fairmont hospitals to deal with an
adverse reaction to antibiotics she was taking for her sinus infections.
And then
there were the dozens of visits with ailing family members.
Leatrice has a most appropriate email
name: LeaAngel@Frontier.com You have
to be an Earth Angel to spend decades taking care of her ailing husband, Bob
Greaser, and Leatrice’s and Bob’s mothers, until they all passed away.
Leatrice
is the widow of Bob Greaser and Bill Talkington.
Leatrice’s
siblings are John Yokay, Class of 1953, and Pat Yokay Maddox, Class of 1948,
who lives in Bentons Ferry.
Leatrice’s
neighbor and daily chat-friend is Eva Kathleen Saunders, who was at Monongah
High during Leatrice’s days there.
Kathleen’s
cousin is Louella Saunders, also a Monongah High grad.
Leatrice, known as The Kathryn Grayson of Monongah High in the
1950s for her singing ability, stays in contact with her former music teacher,
Beatrice Mangino, who is 90 and still kicking in Lansing, Michigan. If you want
to renew MHS memories with Beatrice, her phone number is (517) 485-0930.
Beatrice
is the daughter of Phil Mangino, whose trucks delivered coal to Monongah homes
and Monongah High athletes to sports events.
If you
want to hear Leatrice’s still-melodious voice, her phone number is (304)
363-4858.
