Tom Dean at Air Force Memorial
Tom’s heart is into the wild blue yonder

Tom Dean, Class of 1949, who is visiting his daughter, retired Colonel Pam Dean Mitchell, who lives in Arlington, Virginia, naturally wound up at the Air Force Memorial off Columbia Pike in Arlington.

Tom was in the U.S. Air Force. His military career took him to such places as Madrid, Spain, Iceland, Seville, Spain and Germany.

Tom’s brother, the late Charles Robert “Chub” Dean, Class of 1954, was in the Air Force.

The Pentagon, where the late Lawrence “Sonny” Godby’s son got his office damaged by the 9/11 attacks; Washington Monument & the Arlington Cemetery also were on Tom’s sightseeing agenda.

Tom’s wife, Rosemarie Dean, passed away in 2012.

So he visits their children, including their three sons in Goldsboro, North Carolina. And daughter Pam. Who, like her father and uncle, has served our country.

Tom’s mailing address is
