Sanford Carr hospitalized again

Former Monongah Town Councilman Sanford Carr has been hospitalized in WVU’s Ruby Memorial Hospital after another heart attack.

His wife of 47 years, Linda Knobel-Carr, wrote yesterday:

“I'm asking for prayers for Sanford; he had another heart attack. The VA sent him to Ruby, they’re watching him tonight and they’re going to see in the morning about surgery. Please we need your prayers, thank you !!”

Sanford Carr is the kind of guy who goes around Monongah cleaning up dilapidated property without compensation.

Linda, Class of 1967, has spent hospital time herself in recent years. Linda worked at Philips (1968-89).

Toni Carr Posten, their daughter, North Marion Class of 1989, is married to Bill Posten, a Monongah boy who also is a North Marion grad.
